While the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulates the supplement industry, it does not “approve” anything. However, it becomes even more complicated with CBD, since the FDA has yet to adopt a regulatory framework for the manufacture, sale and marketing of CBD. While all products should be manufactured in accordance with the FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), this still will not result in an FDA “approval”.
