We do understand any concerns, and want to reassure you that MaryRuth’s always aims to only provide the best and safest products for our customers, and we research each ingredient that we include in our products. That being said, we are more than happy to shed some more information on the FDA warning that mentions Garcinia Cambogia that you may have come across. Here is a link directly to the FDA website, showing their warning.
To clarify, their warning is not on Garcinia Cambogia, but on a specific brand, Fruta Planta Life, which uses Garcinia Cambogia in it. The reason for this is not because of the Garcinia Cambogia, but because they found a controlled substance (Sibutramine) laced into Fruta Planta Life's weight loss supplement.
While there is one study that suggests there is risk to using Garcinia Cambogia (link 1), there is another that counters that study (link 2), as well as several other studies showing it is safe (links 3,4,5).
Ultimately, we hope that you feel comfortable with our choice to include Garcinia Cambogia in our Probiotic Weight Management+ and know that the FDA has not issued any warnings on Garcinia Cambogia specifically.
