Our enzymes are produced microbially, utilizing bacteria or fungi. In the beginning stages, they are grown in liquid form and later dried to create blends. The liquid enzymes are sprayed onto maltodextrin powder, which acts as a drying agent. Maltodextrin powder is necessary in the creation of the digestive enzyme blends, making the product stable. The Maltodextrin we use is derived from non-GMO corn. While it does go through a filtration process in production, removing corn proteins, there are still detectable levels of corn protein in the final product. Those with corn allergies may want to consult their physician or healthcare professional about consuming the enzyme capsules.
